Inderpreet Singh career site home page: his name and credentials beside a circular chart recorder tracing his career from 2012 to 2026

Project Overview

Inderpreet Singh is a chartered engineer (CPEng) in Brisbane. He has worked from the rig floor to tendering, to LNG service agreements for Shell, and now to business development for a drilling company. His site has one job: a hiring manager or recruiter in Australian energy, usually arriving from LinkedIn or a job application, should be able to decide in under a minute whether he is worth a call, and then call him.

We designed and built it in October 2026, and it went live on 13 October.

What We Built

  • A home page themed as a driller's console. A circular chart recorder traces his career from 2012 to 2026, his roles climb a rig mast as you scroll, and his skills are laid out as a bottom hole assembly, cutting edge first.
  • "Read the gauges": his headline figures on drilling gauges, each with its rig, its well and its year. Every figure has its own copy link, so a recruiter can send one number to a colleague.
  • A hold-to-drill game that lets a visitor try to beat the rate of penetration his campaign reached. It is labelled as a simulation, not field data, and it exists to make one record stick.
  • Four case studies under /work/, each on its own page with its own search listing.
  • A data sheet and an FAQ written for the questions hiring managers ask, and for the way AI assistants read a page.
  • Call and email in the header of every screen, and the CV requested by email.

Every Figure Checked Against the Source

The rule for the copy was numbers before adjectives. Every figure and every endorsement on the site comes from his CV or his Engineers Australia industry review, and a script checks them. It compares each endorsement word for word with the review and its reviewer, and lists any number on the site that does not appear in the source documents. The rule is to run it after every content change.

The CV itself is not published. It carried personal details that should not be public, so a visitor asks for it by email instead.

Built for Search and AI Answers

  • Structured data that describes him as a person on a profile page, his published research paper as a scholarly article and the FAQ as an FAQ page, so Google and AI assistants can connect his name, his chartered status and his work.
  • An llms.txt file and a sitemap that keep themselves current. Add a case study and it gets its own page, sitemap entry, structured data and llms.txt entry without any other change.
  • A canonical address and a share card for every page.

Why Next.js

He wants to start writing articles later. Next.js serves the profile today and will take a blog later on the same site, the same way the case studies are added now, so the site never has to move platform.

When This Kind of Site Fits

A senior professional whose best work is invisible outside their industry: an engineer, a consultant, a specialist moving into a new country or a new market. A site like this gives a hiring manager the figures they would otherwise have to ask for, in the language of the industry, with the contact one tap away.
